Special instructions Dear, LA Geeks.
It would appear that I have not done my due diligence with regard to this week's scheduled Lower Arroyo Seco hike. For although the Arroyo Seco is not specifically listed as closed, it is within the burn area for last year's station fires.

This and we've had a report that closure signs are posted at the trail.
But all is not lost. We have a replacement hike for the same time and general area.
Hopefully you will all still be able to make attend.
Cheers!

Where Eaton Canyon Nature Center |
|
Notes The Eaton Canyon waterfall has been one of my favorite hiking destinations for 20 years, the trail sporting a spectacular view around every corner.
To start our adventure please meet up at The Eaton Canyon Nature Center next to the patking lot. We'll hike north, following the fire road and crossing the creak. During the first 1.5 miles - before passing under the Toll Road bridge - there is very little elevation change.
The trail through the upper canyon may be rough, or non-existent at times, but the destination is well worth the effort. Oh, did I mention that you will probably get your feet wet? |
