Notes We'll meet at the Santa Monica pier, near the carousel. We'll hike down to Venice beach, but may get distracted by the waves. Bring a towel and swimsuit, or wear it if you don't mind hiking in it.
Parking is a bit expensive at the pier, so I suggest carpooling. There is a cheaper lot just to the south of the pier, but it is pretty small and has a time limit of two hours. Another alternative is to park at the Third Street Promenade, (parking on 2nd st.) and walk to the pier. But remember, if parking at the Promenade, you will have to hike back up the cliff at the end. |
