Directions  Take the 101 Frwy North from L.A. past the 405 Frwy to the Reseda Blvd exit and go left under the Frwy. Keep going straight through a couple of lights and then a few stop signs. When it looks like your starting to go up a hill, look to your left. There is a sign that says Caballaro Cyn. Park in the dirt by the sign or on the opposite side of the street.

Where  Tarzana

Notes  It's a 19 mile hike. We will just turn around when we feel like it.

"Go down the trail next to the sign. It follows a dry (usually) creekbed. It will be rocky in sections, but not technical. It will climb up to a ridge. Caballaro ends at dirt Mulhuland (dirt road). Go left on dirt Mulhuland. Keep going for a couple of miles. Youll see a gated fireroad (with Sullivan spray painted on it) on the right. This is Sullivan Ridge, go down it. After less than a mile the fireroad widens and there is a trail leading down on the left. This is Sullivan Cyn, go down it. Sullivan Cyn is a fast doubletrack/singletrack under Sycamore and Oak trees. There are a couple of drop offs and whoop-dees with plenty of creek crossings. After about 5 miles you will come to an unmarked (practically hidden) singletrack leading up to the right. This is a VERY steep climb, but it will put you back on Sullivan Ridge in less than 1/2 a mile. When you reach Sullivan Ridge go right. Dont be surprised to see pavement, this section of Sullivan is paved. Keep going, the pavement will end near a gate and youll climb for about 4 more miles. When you get to the gate at dirt Mulhuland go left. Go down dirt Mulhuland for a couple of miles back to the top of Caballaro. Make a right at Caballaro and go down it. Thats it." - http://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-states-trails/california-trails/california-la-area/trail/PRD_165400_4520crx.aspx#reviews
