Special instructions Host: Mindshare LA
Type: Party - Barbecue
Date: Sunday, August 2, 2009
Time: 12:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Dockweiler State Beach
It's summertime in LA - and what better Sunday plan then to hit up a beach BBQ with a bunch of interesting, sexy people?
Dockweiler State Beach has BBQ and fire pit areas on a first come first served basis. We'll get there early to reserve a fire pit so we can make a bonfire and stay until the park closes at 10pm.
WHAT TO BRING:
BBQ supplies, picnic food and drinks (make sure to have no open liquor containers), fire wood, sunblock, hats, blankets, towels, drums, things that float, things that fly, things that bounce ;)

Dockweiler Beach can get pretty crazy on these summer weekends, especially on party nights. The parking lot may be nearly full during the afternoon, so i highly suggest carpooling. But if you truly desire to avoid the chaos this Sunday, I'm expecting the general beach crowd to start dissipating around 7PM.
And for those who wish to comb the beach, I suggest we meet up at the BBQ at 4PM. I'll probably make it by 6PM.

The Bad -- Parking fees during the summer are$5 to $8 per vehicle.
-- If you're lucky, you can park on top of the bluff on Vista del Mar, but be warned that parking tickets are promptly issued a few minutes after 10PM.
-- During summer weekends, this beach is a mad house. In those months it may be better to arrive after 7PM. |
