Distance 0.00 km ( 6.00 miles )
Difficulty Moderate
Special instructions   We will meet in front of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Depending on our hikers we may go all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and back or we may only go part way. Last time we stopped somewhere around Chrissy Field to share a meal and took the bus back to the Federal Reserve Bank.

Directions  We'll meet in front of the Federal Reserve Building which is just across the street from the Embarcadero BART Station on the corner of Market, Main and Drumm. Parking in this area is terrible so I suggest that if you are driving into the city you park at one of the outer BART station and take the train in. I personally like the Glen Park BART Station.

The Good  San Francisco is a beautiful, lively city and we'll get to see several great landmarks. Public transportation is quite abundant so if at any point you are done hiking it's easy to hop on a bus or train.

The Bad  Hills and lots of them!

Where  San Francisco

Notes  We will start out at the Embarcadero Bart Station heading along the water for a bit before cutting over to climb up to Coit tower. From there we will wander through town and up the curvy portion of Lombard Street. Then it is past Fort Mason, the Marina District and the Palace of Fine arts as we head towards the water and the Golden Gate Bridge. We will cross the bridge and when we get back to the SF side we can decide if we want food, public transit back to the Embarcadero or if we want to retrace our steps.
